Hi... My name is Tricia Baker. I am a full time Police
K-9 Officer for a small town outside Springfield,
Illinois. I had always wanted to be an officer and got
that wish in 2005. In 2006 I was given the opportunity
to become a K-9 Officer. If I thought I loved my job
before... It had just begun!
I now have a full time partner... 4 yr old female
German Shepard "Dakota". Dakota has gone
through training with me in narcotics, subject
apprehension, handler protection, obedience and
agility. We work together as a team and she gets to
come home with me...
I also have my big boy, "Max", at home... Max is our
5yr old Great Dane. He loves walks, chasing Dakota
around, and lounging in his big brothers room
watching Animal Planet!
After spending the last year and a half with Dakota I
can honestly tell you... I will never have another job
that I don't get to work with dogs! So...here I am... I
want to share with everyone how much fun dog
training can be!
Once you and your dog speak the same language
life becomes so much easier...
